Peter Refsing Andersen
Peter Refsing Andersen, Group leader

Peter did his PhD in molecular biology studying how RNA gets flagged for degradation in the nucleus of human cells. To combine his interest in RNA biology with complex in vivo systems, he studied gene expression in the germline of fruit flies. The biology of genetic conflicts between genetic parasites (e.g. transposons) and host genome defense systems is just plainly incredibly, which is which he decided to build a research group to understand this better.
